Well, it had to happen sooner or later. My first rainy wedding. Hard to believe, I’ve made it to almost 40 weddings with no rain. Yup, almost three years as a Vancouver wedding photographer and not ONE rainy wedding. Having said that, this Brock House wedding was still an unbelievable beauty, rain or no rain. If you absolutely must have a rainy wedding, have it at the Brock House. Such a gorgeous venue and so very equipped for days like this. From the patio they use for the ceremony, to the beautiful old style furniture and rooms throughout the entire house, there are endless opportunities for photographs. And to bring SOME of my good luck weather charm in the picture, the rain DID stop enough for us to walk to the beach later for some beautiful photographs .. and the sun even made a bit of an appearance! So while I did have my first rainy wedding, I’ll still consider it an awesome success :)

As for the lovely couple, what can I say other than … lovely! From the moment I met them, I knew we’d have a good working relationship .. we had a wonderful engagement session at beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park and I was very much looking forward to today. I absolutely love the images I took today and I’m excited to begin working on them and ultimately share them with the lovely couple! In the meantime, here are some lovely sneak peaks!
