Snowy Winter in Vancouver

Ahhh, as I watch the intense rain outside, I am already reminiscing about the beautiful snow Vancouver had this Winter season. I cannot believe how much snow we have had and more importantly, I cannot believe how long it stuck around for! The last time I remember this much snow was about six years ago!

Big snowflakes, small snowflakes, ice everywhere, roads and bridges closed, a frozen lake! I mean, it wasn’t all fun and games as the icy roads were quite dangerous to walk on for a few good weeks! However, I’m choosing to reminisce about the lighthearted, beauty of it all! Seriously, even Trout Lake was frozen enough to skate on! I was told the last time THAT happened was 1996. So amazing.

I loved this Christmas so much and all the magic it brought us. Having a fluffy, very snow-happy dog to share this Winter season with made the snow even more memorable! I did take some photos of the snowy scenery but I mostly spent time actually enjoying the beauty outside with my family. It’s hard not to play it in when you see how beautiful it is! I can’t wait until next year, but who knows if it’s going to snow likes this for a while! xo
