Vancouver 50 Year Wedding Anniversary Photography
A few days ago, I photographed a couple who has been together for 50 years. Their anniversary was on the actual day we did the photoshoot at the actual chapel they had their ceremony in. Circumstances have led them to having very few photos from their actual wedding day, so this photoshoot was very special to them.
Wow. 50 years later and the love between them is so obvious, so strong. They could not take their eyes off each other and were constantly smiling. When I told him to whisper in her ear, he told her she’s precious. Their energy is so contagious, I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. I am forever grateful to capture these memories for them. When I asked them some tips to make a marriage work for 50 years, they said it’s important to have a sense of humour, to say I love you a lot and to adapt to change. They also said it’s important to still do the small things for each other, like buy flowers for no reason. Such great advice!
Photographing them was an honour and I’m so full of gratitude. They are very private about sharing photos online, so I chose to only share one, my favourite from the day. I adore the way they are looking at each other. ♥️♥️♥️
