Granville Island Engagement

For a few weeks now it has totally felt like summer is here .. the sun is shining continuously and I’m busier and busier (for a Vancouver weddig photographer, that most definitely means SUMMER!). Eight weddings down and 14 more to go! This means many engagement sessions continuously uploaded also .. which brings me to Suli and Neils. I love love love love loved this engagement session. Sometimes I meet some couples who require such ridiculously little direction .. and Suli and Neils definitely fit the bill. From the moment I lifted my camera, I realized how incredibly photogenic they are (together and individually). The way they interact with each other is so incredibly adorable .. all I really have to do is click the shutter! Sort of ;) I love the 50s look they were going for, the Granville Island picnic, the bottled Coca Cola, the bright colours, the fedora, the dresses, I think they pulled it off to perfection ..

combine this with the Mad Men theme they plan for their August wedding and I’m one lucky girl with beautiful images in her portfolio and a load of cool people I get to meet on a regular basis. I’m so excited to share these photos .. I love shooting at Granville Island .. the more I shoot there, the more I realize how gorgeous it is, how versatile and how I’m finding more and more new spots!
