Vancouver Wedding Photographer at Port Moody’s Rocky Point!

Another rainless day, another short but very sweet wedding. I loved photographing Alexandra and Tyson today. Their love is so pure and so genuine and their excitement at finally being  married is over the top! From high school sweethearts to spending the rest of their lives together, their love couldn’t be more adorable. I loved their energy and feel grateful I was lucky to be chosen to capture their love. When Tyson asked Alexandra to be his girlfriend, he brought her to Rocky Point park in Port Moody, B.C. The date was 23 June 2009. They went to the end of the pier and looked off into the mountains, sky, and inlet. Tyson gave Alexandra a hand written note which said “Turn around & kiss me if you want to be my girlfriend.”

Throughout the months leading up to the proposal, Tyson had told Alexandra about crab fishing (where one ties a crab net to a dock/pier). He was not particularly interested in crab fishing, but Alexandra had never heard of it. Tyson promised to pull up a crab net to show her one if he ever saw one.

On 22 June 2013 (a day before their 4 year anniversary), Tyson picked Alexandra up from work & brought her back to the same spot. As far as Alexandra was concerned, it was just another walk in the park.

When Tyson & Alexandra arrived at the end of the dock, there was a mysterious rope leading to a “crab net” in the water which was placed there earlier by Tyson’s best man (Jeremy).

When Tyson pulled the rope up, it wasn’t a crab net. It was a basket which had a note inside that said “Alexandra will you marry me?”

Ahh, love. Beautiful couple .. congrats, you two, may you have a beautiful future together.
