Photographers Honing Their Craft

A couple of days ago, a few photographer friends and I went to beautiful Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver to practice various skills, take some great photos of each other and have fun! For those that haven’t been there, Whytecliff Park is a few minutes away from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver and INCREDIBLY photogenic. SO much to photograph! A lot of couples prefer to do engagement sessions at Whytecliff Park for obvious reasons .. there are a lot of striking rocks and wild scenery as well as beautiful trees .. if the tide is out, you can walk unto a beautiful big rock and get some great wide shots.

We were quite the troopers as it started to rain (of course it did!) but we made the most of it and had fun incorporating the scenery into some great shots. I also practiced my double exposure (not a bad start, but I have much to learn!). I’m going to have some fun practicing this, for sure. Can’t wait for round two!! If any other photographers are interested, feel free to join us, maybe the photographer field trip will become a regular occasion ;)

This field trip consisted of me, Tanja Aelbrecht from Jelger and Tanja Photographers, Camilla Anchisi from Camilla Anchisi Photography and Katie Powell from Katie Powell Photography. Next trip, who knows? :)

Below are some of my favourites from the day.

Thank you for visiting my blog! I am a Vancouver wedding photographer also specializing in portrait, maternity and boudoir photography and deeply passionate about destination weddings. I shoot weddings anywhere in the Greater Vancouver area and am quite willing to travel – I have also photographed beautiful weddings in rural Quebec and colourful Mexico as well as done other photoshoots in California, the Okanagan, Oregon and Europe. I have been published multiple times in numerous established publications and I am beyond crazy about my job as a Vancouver wedding photographer. When you’re always surrounded by love and happiness, what’s not to love?  I have some space left for 2015 weddings and am starting to book for 2016 weddings, so message me soon with any inquiries you may have about portrait or wedding photography. Use the tab above or email contact@roxanaphotography.com. Love, Roxy
